The Cattle Dealers Association of Adamawa State, Mubi Chapter has commended Governor Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and the Adamawa State Agribusiness Support Programme (ADAS-P) for providing them with capital loans worth millions of naira to boost their businesses.
The Chairman of the Association, Rabi’u RB Teku, disclosed this in an interview with journalists shortly after a meeting with officials of the Adamawa State Mortgage Institution and ADAS-P in Mubi.
He said the financial intervention has significantly empowered members of the association, enabling them to expand their cattle trading activities and improve their overall livelihoods.
According to him, the initiative reflects the state government’s commitment to supporting local businesses and strengthening the agricultural value chain across Adamawa State.
Teku further revealed that during the meeting, a workable framework for the repayment of the loans was reviewed and re-adopted to ensure transparency and sustainability of the programme.
He assured that members of the association are fully committed to adhering to the agreed repayment plan, while expressing optimism that the support would have a lasting positive impact on the cattle business in the state.
The chairman also called on beneficiaries to utilize the funds judiciously to achieve the desired economic growth and development objectives.
Each beneficiary received the minimum sum of 2 million and the maximum of 30 million Naira respectively.
