Two Arrested for Transnational Drug Smuggling, 197 Sachets of Tramadol Recovered in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has recorded a significant breakthrough in its ongoing fight against drug trafficking and trans-border crimes with the arrest of two suspects found in possession of One Hundred and Ninety-Seven (197) sachets of Tramadol.
The suspects, identified as Muhammad Mustapha (32) of Dorayi, Kano, and Muhammad Sanusi (48) of Garoua, Cameroon, were intercepted by operatives of the Border Patrol Fufore Unit during a routine operation.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the illicit substances were transported from a South-Eastern state and conveyed through Adamawa State with the intention of smuggling them into the Republic of Cameroon before they were successfully intercepted.

commended the personnel of the Border Patrol Unit for their vigilance and professionalism. He has directed the Command’s Monitoring Unit to take over the case for diligent investigation and further necessary action.
The Command remains resolute in its commitment to ridding the state of drug-related and other illicit crimes.
