Sen Iya Abbas Donates Relief Materials to Flood Victims in Adamawa

The Senatorial District, Aminu Iya Abbas has donated multi million naira cash million cash alongside relief materials to victims of recent floods in Fufore, Song, Gombi, and Hong as well as food and non food items and cash to those affected by a windstorm in Kwanan Waya, Yola South local government area.

The senator while presenting the relief materials at the affected areas respectively, said his concern is to alleviate the hardships faced by communities grappling with natural disasters in his constituency.

The lawmaker who was represented separately by members of AIA 2023 senatorial campaign steering committee Alhaji Adamu Baba Mustafa and Dr. adamu Babikkoi while sympathizing with the victims reaffirmed his commitment towards providing his people with basic needs at their doorstep.

Representatives and community leaders of the affected areas visited by the senator’s delegation expressed gratitude for Senator Abbas’ timely intervention describing him as representative who put the interest of his people above his personal interest.

According to them, the gesture reinforces Aminu’s profile as a responsive leader who is dedicated to supporting Adamawa central’s communities through challenging times aimed at alleviating their suffering.

It could be recalled that, senator Aminu Iya Abbas has previously donated relief materials worth millions of naira to victims of floods and insurgency in Hong, Yola south and other affected areas which showcased his consistent commitment to his people.

Items donated includes over 1,200 Bags of Rice and Maize, Mats, Blankets and about 10Million cash to be shared among the 5 affected local government areas in the constituency.
