ADC Adamawa Relaunches at Full Strength as Komsiri Unveils Grassroots Leadership Across 21 LGAs

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State has launched a sweeping restructuring drive as its Caretaker Committee Chairman, Mallam Saidu Njobdi Komsiri, inaugurated complete local government and ward executives across the state’s 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 226 wards.
The well-attended inauguration ceremony held at Shagari Royal Hotel in Yola, marked a major milestone in the ADC’s recovery following weeks of internal crisis and leadership disputes.
Speaking at the event, Komsiri described the move as a cornerstone of the party’s grassroots renewal, a process designed to restore unity, discipline, and confidence among members.
> “We have completed the formation and constitution of the Adamawa ADC structure: six unit coordinators in all 4,104 polling units (24,624 in total), ward executives across 226 wards (6,102), and state executives across 21 LGAs (44). In all, we now have 31,337 officially recognized party officers across Adamawa State,” he announced.
Komsiri emphasized that the newly sworn-in officials would serve as the backbone of the party’s rejuvenation ahead of future elections.
> “This inauguration marks a new beginning for the African Democratic Congress in Adamawa. Our mission is to return the party to the people and entrench our presence in every community,” he declared.
The chairman urged the new executives to uphold inclusiveness, transparency, and loyalty, stressing that the ADC’s success rests on collective effort and internal democracy.
> “We call on all stakeholders and members across the 21 LGAs and 226 wards to unite, rebuild trust, and commit to the growth and ideals of the ADC,” he said. “Together, we will reposition the ADC as a credible political force and the true voice of the people in Adamawa State.”
Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated 21 local government chairmen, Alhaji Saadu Muhammad Wuro+chekke of Yola South, reaffirmed their commitment to justify the confidence reposed in them.
In her remarks, the committee’s State Women Leader, Hajiya Larai, urged women across the state to rally behind the ADC’s manifesto and take an active role in shaping its future.
The event was attended by ADC stakeholders including the Assistant National Organizing Secretary Alh. Umar Bello Jada (Calculate), Alh. Ibrahim Bappah Waziri, state leaders, stakeholders, and enthusiastic supporters, who described the exercise as a “unifying milestone” and a turning point for the ADC in Adamawa State.
