Adamawa Govt’ Inaugurate Technical Committee to Agribusiness Through Emerging Technologies

The Adamawa state government through its initiated program ADAS-P has inaugurated a technical committee to boost agribusiness activities through emerging technologies.

The committee was inaugurated during a stakeholders engagement aimed to boost agricultural productivity through emerging technologies,
a strategic partnership between the Adamawa State Agribusiness Support Program (ADAS-P) and NNIL Commercial Company Ltd. was recently forged to enhance agricultural productivity in the state.

The stakeholders’ engagement, held at the ADAS-P Conference Hall, aimed to improve the adoption of emerging technologies in agriculture through demonstration of research-farmer extension linkage and private extension services.

Improving Farming Practices, Enhance agricultural productivity and reduce costs through the adoption of emerging technologies, Research-Farmer Linkage, Private Sector Engagement.

The engagement brought together key stakeholders, including, Agro-input suppliers, Adamawa State seed entrepreneurs,
Farmers Yield Africa, AADP, ADAS Limit,
ADAS Implementation Committee
Agronomists among others

The event was chaired by Alh. Yunusa Ibrahim Gafai, ADAS Programme Chief Operating Officer and Lead Consultant, who emphasized the importance of collaboration in driving agricultural development.

The technical committee will be chaired by Dr. Ahmed Garba, the chairman implementation committee for ADAS Programme.

This partnership is expected to have a significant impact on agricultural productivity in Adamawa State, improving the livelihoods of farmers and contributing to the state’s economic growth which is inline with Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s led administration.
