Education stakeholders from various institutions across Adamawa State have participated in a capacity development workshop organized by the Center for Advocacy, Transparency and Accountability Initiative (CATAI) with support from the Malala Fund.

The workshop, themed “Strengthening Local Capacity for Sustainable Education Financing and Professional Capacity Development for Education Stakeholders in Adamawa State,” aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of sustainable education financing, accountability, advocacy, and effective strategies for improving educational outcomes.

Representing the Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB) were the Board Secretary, Mrs. Korah Bongi; Permanent Member I, Hon. Adiel Kurda; as well as directors and other senior management staff of the Board.

Facilitators emphasized the importance of sustained investment in education, stronger stakeholder collaboration, and effective accountability mechanisms to ensure quality and inclusive basic education for all children. They noted that building the capacity of education stakeholders remains critical to achieving lasting progress in the sector.

Participants engaged in sessions on education financing, policy implementation, transparency, community participation, and strategies for improving learning outcomes across the state. The workshop also provided a platform for sharing experiences and developing practical solutions to challenges facing the education sector.

The organizers commended participants for their active engagement and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting initiatives that promote equitable access to quality education and strengthen the capacity of education stakeholders in Adamawa State.
