Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has disclosed that Adamawa State will generate a total of 25 megawatts of electricity through the ongoing solar energy project aimed at improving power supply across the state.

The governor made the disclosure during a live special programme on ABC Yola shortly after inspecting the corporation’s newly installed broadcast studios and modern equipment. He responded to questions from presenters on his administration’s achievements and ongoing projects.

Fintiri said the solar energy initiative forms part of his administration’s commitment to addressing electricity challenges and supporting industrial growth, healthcare, education, and other critical sectors of the state’s economy.

The governor also reaffirmed his determination to complete all ongoing projects before the end of his tenure. He listed the projects to include the construction of a modern shopping mall, a stadium, international conference center recreational parks, and a state-of-the-art Maternal and Child Hospital.

Speaking on education, Fintiri highlighted the payment of WAEC and NECO examination fees for eligible students, continued investment in educational infrastructure, and the school feeding programme, which he said is producing positive results.

On workers’ welfare, the governor said his administration remains committed to improving the well-being of civil servants and retirees, noting that directed for review pensioners earnings to receive a minimum monthly retirement benefit of ₦50,000.

He assured residents that his government would continue implementing policies and programmes that would improve living standards, strengthen public infrastructure, and drive sustainable development across Adamawa State.
