Reps Member Boya Empowers Over 100 Persons with Disabilities

In a heartwarming display of compassion and commitment to social welfare, Hon. Aliyu Wakili Boya, Member representing Fufore/Song Federal Constituency, has made a significant impact in the lives of Persons Living with Disabilities (PWDs) in Adamawa State.

The generous lawmaker donated over 100 wheelchairs and cash to PWDs, bringing hope, joy, and enhanced mobility to countless individuals.

This noble act is a testament to Hon. Boya’s dedication to improving the lives of his constituents and promoting inclusivity in the community.

The ceremony, which was a testament to Hon. Boya’s dedication to his constituents, was attended by prominent community leaders, including Alh. Sahabo Aliyu Gurin, former Chairman of Fufore Local Council. Alh. Gurin commended Hon. Boya’s leadership and commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises, stating that the donation was a clear demonstration of his administration’s focus on the welfare of all constituents.

According to Alh. Gurin, Hon. Boya’s team had initially planned to attend the event in large numbers, but owing to unforeseen circumstances, they were unable to do so.

James Beka, Fufore APC Chairman, also praised Hon. Boya’s inclusive approach, highlighting that his team works tirelessly to support all members of the community without sentiment or discrimination. Beka expressed confidence that this initiative would continue, further solidifying Hon. Boya’s reputation as a champion of social welfare.

Comrade Abdullahi Toungo, Chairman of the Association of People Living with Disabilities, Adamawa State chapter, spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressing heartfelt gratitude for Hon. Boya’s kindness. While appreciating the gesture, Toungo suggested that future empowerment initiatives should consider a broader range of beneficiaries, ensuring that the impact is felt across the community. This suggestion highlights the importance of inclusivity and the need for empowerment programs to reach more people, ultimately creating a more equitable society.

The donation of over 100 wheelchairs 20 walking sticks, and cash has not only improved the mobility of PWDs but has also sent a powerful message of compassion and inclusivity.
